About the Moscow Canal
The Moscow Canal is a 79-mile canal that connects the Moskva River with the Volga River. Providing additional means of transportation, this canal links Moscow with five different seas: White Sea, Baltic Sea, Caspian Sea, Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. In addition, it provides the city with nearly half of the water it consumes.
