It was a memorable day as 12 new state-of-the-art Viking river ships were welcomed into our European fleet, almost a year since Viking set a Guinness world record for the most new ships launched in a single day. What made this year’s event so special is that Viking’s longest-serving employees were chosen as Godmothers for the ships, including Clare Armitage and Faye Pirie from our London office. You can watch an inspiring short film of the ships’ christening, which took place simultaneously in Amsterdam and Rostock.

The Viking river fleet now stands at 60. The award-winning Viking Longships remain the benchmark by which all other ships are measured with patented design innovations; light, airy Scandinavian interiors and expansive views throughout. These unique ships are making it easier than ever to explore the heart and soul of Europe in comfort.
